According to multiple reports, the ‘Full House’ star was staying inside the Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando, Florida, and passed away inside of his room. The local Sheriff’s Department responded to the hotel around 4 PM on Sunday, after hotel security found the actor unconscious in the room.
Details surrounding the comedian’s death are unclear, and initial reports haven’t indicated if anything contributed to his death.
Bob Saget Found Unconcious Inside Florida Hotel Room
It should be noted, Saget was recently touring the country on a comedy tour performing in several locations including Florida. The tour started in September and was supposed to continue through May of 2022. Last night, the comedian had a show in Jacksonville, Florida at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Shockingly, earlier today, the ‘Full House’ star thanked the crowd for showing up to his performance.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department tweeted confirming the death. According to law enforcement, no foul play or drug use is “immediately suspected” in the death.
‘Full House’ Star’s Death Is Not ‘Immediately Suspected’ To Be Caused By Drugs
“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022,” Saget tweeted.
At this point, the medical examiner’s office is conducting a death investigation, and toxicology reports and other tests will be run to determine his official cause of death.
A Florida morning show spoke to Saget on Monday morning ahead of his comedy show, and the actor appeared to be in “good sports and health” — according to local reports. During the interview, Saget reminisced about his old college days at Temple University. At this point, there is no indication that COVID-19 had anything to do with the death, but Saget spoke about how it has dramatically impacted his approach to standup comedy.
Bog Saget is legendary for his character on the popular television show ‘Full House’ where he played the lead role — Danny Tanner — for almost 10 years. The actor starred alongside John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, and the Olsen twins. The legendary actor also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
The ‘Full House’ star is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters — Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer.
