Courtney Stodden does not have good memories of being a blonde, as she recently took to Instagram to share the reason why she went from bottled blonde, back to her natural roots.

Just a few hours ago, the former abuse victim wrote, "I know everyone is used to seeing me as the BLONDE. During the pandemic, I’ve had a lot of time to do inner work, inner healing, and truly connect to who I am, the child-woman under the bleached locks."

She went on to say that she's had nothing but bad memories of her as a "blonde bimbo" and everything bad that happened to her only came when she was a blonde. She did not like what she saw in the mirror anymore.

She continued saying, "I’ve never felt more empowered than I do right now. I’m not speaking for ANYONE ELSE. All hair colors are beautiful. It’s about YOU. What do you want to project? I’m done projecting an image that does nothing but hurt me. I began feeling like if I didn’t take time to heal, I’d end up dying at a young age like Anna Nicole or Marilyn - riding on that tragic blonde wave of darkness. I really felt scared for myself. I don’t want to die that way. Or project it. ??? Now? I’ve never felt more beautiful, strong, and centered in this current form. Myself. Back to my roots… let the journey truly begin. I love my supporters SM"

Seemingly inspired by "Queen Brit Brit", Stodden has gone ahead and let loose her "Free Brunette Energy" although unlike Spears', she's done it on Twitter.

To keep the inspiration authentic, Stodden even used the same flower and heart emojis to cover the essentials, although we have to admit, in Stodden's case, the emojis were bigger, presumably to cover the bigger stuff. And we did not see the white socks that we saw on Britney.

Obviously, the fans and trolls are just waking up to her new tweet and the reactions run the gamut.

While one Twitter user wrote, "Britney did it better", another was more appreciative, writing, "OMG, giving us body". Given that Stodden's Instagram and Twitter are full of her "giving body" to her fans, the SHOCK has been milder in this case.

Recently, Stodden also took to poking a little fun at 2022's latest COVID challenge, Omicron, and fans appreciate the humor, as well as the sense of purpose that Stodden has.

This is the picture she put up, making a bikini out of the requisite disposable face masks, with the caption, "2022 is coming! Don’t touch anything!! NOTE: no new masks were harmed in the making of this photo‼️ ? #omicron #covid19 #wearamask"

Perhaps this comment on Stodden's Instagram page is most evocative of her life, then and now, managed to touch people.

Wrote an admirer, "Love it!!!!! ?!! Love your sense of humor.. and I wish I had your body.. so great. I really admire how u put yourself out there. Truly. I've never been able to feel comfortable I'm my skin."

The Instagram user went on to say how she was now terminally ill and was abused for a long time, but now looked up to Stodden as a role model and tried to emulate her as best as she could.

Stodden was kind enough to reply to her, writing, " it’s never too late to embrace your beautiful self. And you right now are the most beautiful version of YOU. Remember that!"

So there may be many to troll Stodden, and berate her for being a "sex object" but there's a reason behind what she does.

Here's a glimpse of what made Stodden turn into her "best version".
