The Weeknd Fans Approve Of New 'Dawn FM' Album, Legendary Guest Cameos

Today, The Weeknd released his fifth studio album, "Dawn FM." The release date was officially confirmed on January 3, after speculation that a January 3 date was possible. That was due to a cryptic tweet that The Weeknd put out on January 2.

Now, Dawn FM is finally out, as fans are treated to 16 new songs.

The Weeknd has been very consistent with his releases over the last several years, as Dawn FM is his second album since March 2020. On Dawn FM, fans are treated to appearances from Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne, and also narrations from the legendary Quincy Jones and Jim Carrey.

Fans expressed how much they loved the Carrey teasers earlier in the week, and they also enjoyed hearing him speak throughout the album. Among these were on "Dawn FM" and "Phantom Regret By Jim. The legendary Quincy Jones also spoke on "A Tale By Quincy."

Some of the popular songs overall so far, have been "Sacrifice," "Out Of Time," "Here We Go Again" featuring Tyler, The Creator, and "Heard You're Married," featuring Lil Wayne.

When The Weeknd initially announced the "Dawn FM" album earlier in the week, Jim Carrey also revealed that he listened to the entire album with Weeknd. Carrey added that he was "thrilled" to be part of Dawn FM, and labeled the project as "deep and "elegant."

"I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel@theweekndlast night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony. ;^•"

At this pace, The Weeknd should have his fourth consecutive number one album, with "Dawn FM." The Canadian superstar had been teasing this project since the fall, and even had a huge lead single put out last August, in "Take My Breath."

The Weeknd has established himself as one of the biggest artists in the world as well, with his last two album releases. His dominance even resulted in a Super Bowl halftime show performance, in 2021.
