James Corden is on a journey to living a much healthier life and wants to be a role model for other men. The successful late-night host made headlines after joining the famous weight loss program WW formerly known as  Weight Watchers, in early 2021.

Corden has since made impressive strides in his weight loss, dropping an impressive 28lbs. Now, he is opening up about his journey and its impact on his family life.

James Corden On Weight Watchers

Corden became an ambassador for the weight loss program last year and first spoke about his experience during a sit down with Oprah Winfrey, a former WW ambassador.

In his announcement video for joining the WW family, Corden got vulnerable about his past failed weight-loss goals.

I’ve realized that every year for the past decade probably even 15 years in January 1st, I’ve told myself and anyone that would listen that this is it. This is the year I’m going on a diet… I’m fed up with the way I look, I’m fed up with being unhealthy and this is it.

However, despite his resolutions, he often resorted to bad eating habits, and that’s when he decided to seek help from WW to make 2021 a different year.

The Late Late Show Host Is Now Living A Healthier Life

Since committing to the program, Corden has made significant progress and lost a whopping 28lbs. However, much more than having a slimmer figure, the comedian’s family life has improved.

During a recent appearance on "CBS Mornings" with Gayle King, Corden addressed his experience with WW.

It has really changed the way I think about food. I still have a long way to go before I’m at a weight I’d like to be. I’ve loved this year, I’ve never felt like I’m on a diet.

The English talent added that he now has more energy for his wife and kids than ever before.

A Beacon Of Hope For Other Men

Now, Corden hopes his story can help inspire other men, especially in terms of weight loss and self-care. “There’s something in society that says if you’re a man, you don’t care about how you look,” Corden said.

He shared that he’s open about his weight loss story and journey to a healthier life because he has never seen a man discuss it and wants others to know it’s okay.

The 43-year-old hopes to be a role model for men to take their physical health more seriously this new year.
