Erika Jayne's Husband Thomas Girardi Reportedly Losing His Memory Amid Money Woes

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star [Erika Jayne]9/tag/erika-jayne/)'s estranged husband Thomas Girardi reportedly is having health issues amid his legal woes.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Thomas's brother Robert Girardi filed a declaration in the involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy case brought by creditors. Last month, the petition was brought by Thomas's former law firm partner and other people who accuse him of owing them a ton of money.
In the newly filed declaration, Robert claims his brother suffers from short-term memory loss and needs a conservatorship.
Robert says Thomas, "is incapable of realizing and understanding the repercussions of the bankruptcy filings pending against him and the Debtor. Furthermore, the TG is not capable of making rational decisions with respect to his or the Debtor's financial responsibilities."
In his declaration, Robert says he is going to court to try and become the conservator over Thomas's finances. He says he is willing to help the bankruptcy court get access to his brother's financial records.
Up until this point, Thomas has failed to respond to the bankruptcy case or even hire a lawyer to represent him in the matter.

Robert wrote, "I have attempted to discuss with my brother how to best respond to the Involuntary Petitions pending against the Debtor and while at times he appears to be aware of the filing of the Involuntary Petitions he needs to be reminded often."
He added, "My brother is incapable of realizing and understanding" the seriousness of the case. "Furthermore, my brother is not capable of making rational decisions with respect to his financial responsibilities and offers solutions and opinions that are factually impossible."
He claims, "My brother has short term memory loss, often asking and those around him the same questions over and over." Robert says he cannot have a "reasonable conversation about the multiple legal and financial issues he is facing" with Thomas.
The judge has yet to rule on Robert's motion. The original petition read, "The debtor is generally not paying such debtor's debts as they become due." The creditors include his former law partners, Robert Keese and Jill O'Callahan. Jill says she is owed $757,000 and Robert believes Thomas owes him over $1,5 million.
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this year, Erika and Thomas were named as defendants in a federal lawsuit. They are accused of embezzling money meant for orphans and widows.
Many fans have been commenting with side-eye emojis on the news of Thomas's alleged health issues. One wrote, "So he'd rather be seen as incompetent than own up to his crimes.."
