Miley Cyrus Handled Wardrobe Malfunction Like A Pro During NYE Performance!

Singer Miley Cyrus almost had an embarrassing start to 2022!
The “Wrecking Ball” singer and “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson were hosting NBC’s very first “Miley’s New Year’s Eve” party live from Miami. During a performance of “Party In The U.S.A.,” Cyrus was dancing around on stage in a short silver skirt and a matching silver top that left little to the imagination.
During the performance, Miley put her hand on her chest and turned around, revealing her bare back to the camera. She headed off stage as the music continued, and Miley returned a minute later, wearing a sharp red blazer jacket that she had on earlier in the evening.
Fans couldn't help but notice that it looked like she didn't have anything on underneath!

After the performance, the “We Can’t Stop” singer rejoined her co-host later in the evening. “Everybody’s definitely looking at me now,” Cyrus joked. “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”
In a show of solidarity, Davidson lifted off his tee-shirt to bare it all for the camera. Even though there were some last-minute cancelations due to COVID-19 and other setbacks, Cyrus still thanked her fans for being “flexible” and “rolling with the punches.”
“Thank you so much, everybody, thank you,” Cyrus said at the end of the night. “Tonight’s show was all about being flexible, rolling with the punches, and making the best out of even the worst circumstances.”
“And that resilience shouldn’t end here,” she continued. “Let’s bring that into the New Year with us.”
“We’ve all learned how to expect the unexpected, and rather than see it as a problem, let’s see it as an opportunity,” she added. “I wish everyone here in Miami and everyone watching from home a happy and healthy 2022. Thank you for making tonight possible. You were really all that I needed to have the ultimate party.”
Some Other Highlights From ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve’ Party
At the beginning of the program, Davidson and Cyrus greeted a large crowd that was gathered in Miami.
“Miley called me and asked, ‘What are you doing on New Year’s? I’m throwing a party, you want to help me host it?’” Davidson said to the audience. “And I just looked across the table at my mom and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m in.’”
The event began with a rendition of Will Smith’s “Miami,” followed by performances from Saweetie and Brandi Carlile. Carlile and Cyrus performed a duet for Carlile’s hit song “The Story” and Miley’s song “The Climb.” Miley Cyrus also performed a duet with her little sister, Noah Cyrus, as they sang “Jolene” together.

Given Davidson’s work on “SNL,” there weren’t just musical performances. There were also musical sketches, one of which was called “Unrealistic Resolutions.” The skit showed Miley and Davidson on a yacht discussing all of Davidson’s new year’s resolutions that would probably not come to pass in 2022 and featured a surprise cameo appearance from actor Steve Buscemi.
At the end of the night, Davidson asked everyone to raise a toast to the late Betty White, who had passed away earlier in the day. She was only a few weeks shy of celebrating her 100th birthday.
According to Cyrus, everyone who attended the event had to be tested and show proof of vaccination. Although the outdoor event was crowded, most participants were witnessed wearing masks.
