December 9th’s edition of Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” had Cyrus and Davidson as its guest stars to the delight of viewers, according to ET.
The duo plan to collaborate as hosts on NBC’s forthcoming special “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” and showed the audience they have good camaraderie that Thursday night.
“The Last Song” actress gave a powerful rendering of Yvonne Fair’s “It Should Have Been Me,” which is about a lady’s regret over watching her love tie the knot with someone else.
Before she began singing, Cyrus dedicated the song to Davidson, saying, “when I saw those photos, this is what I played,” hinting at the many romantic photos of him and Kardashian that surfaced.
The “What Men Want” actor grinned and watched her perform. While singing, “The Climb” singer sat on Fallon’s desk and rested a leg on Davidson’s lap.
Cyrus continued her humorous flirtation by removing the “Set It Up” actor’s hat and placing it on her head, belting, “It should have been me.”
The “Hannah Montana” lead actress continued with a surprising and hilarious ad-lib, “In that Lamborghini leaving that nice a– restaurant!”
She sang that she too wants to “watch a movie in frickin’ Staten Island” as her co-guest did with his new beau.
Davidson could not hold back his laughter. This comical performance makes fans excited to watch them together in another show.

The crossover from 2021 to 2022 is about to be an incredible night as Miley will co-host NBC’s upcoming special. The event titled “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” will be broadcast live.
The Blast shared that this event will take place in Miami, Florida, and will welcome numerous stars in what is termed a “variety line-up.”
This party in the USA is bound to be an unforgettable one and will be produced by a head producer at “Saturday Night Live,” Lorne Michaels.
Cyrus’s co-host is Davidson, who was seen to have a friendship filled with banter with the “Bangerz” artist during their appearance on “The Tonight Show.”
Other artists at the New Year’s Eve gathering are yet to be revealed. “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” is a fresh take on NBC’s special, which aired in 2004.
The previous host and producer were Carson Daly, but it looks like his contract is expired. The new production team also features Lindsay Shookus.
The production company, Dean of Thieves, spearheaded by Jesse Ignjatovic, Barb Bialkowski, and Evan Prager, are also involved in making the event memorable.
“Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” will be live-streamed on Peacock from any local NBC station from 10:30 pm till 12:30 am ET.
