NBC is getting ready to broadcast a live show to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome 2022. In any case, the event is set to be titled, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party. As you’ve probably guessed it’s going to be hosted by Miley Cyrus. She has reportedly tapped Pete Davidson to host alongside her. The event itself is going to take place in Miami Florida. It won’t be one of those old shows for New Years that networks would pretape. This show is going to go live, and it’s set to feature different types of guests in what’s being labeled a “variety line-up”.

The event isn’t just going to be a literal house party at Miley’s. Although that idea would certainly produce a wilder show! Actually the show is set to be produced by Lorne Michaels who is one of the head producers at SNL. That may actually be the reason why Pete Davidson got the call. He was able to either cancel, or adapt his New Year’s Eve plans with Kim Kardashian, apparently. So far no other artists have been confirmed for the program. However, it’s expected that many celebs will make an appearance on the show.

Carson Daly Is The Man Who Got The Boot

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party is set to serve as a new concept produced by NBC. For years on end, since 2004 to be exact, the network had aired NBC’s New Year’s Eve special. That particular show was produced and hosted by former TRL host Carson Daly. Daly’s contract with the network had presumably run out. Now NBC is looking to go in a different direction. Other than Lorne Michaels and Miley herself, Lindsay Shookus is also joining the production team. Dean of Thieves, a production company led by Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski is also onboard the project. This all tough luck for Carson Daly fans who were hoping to see him at the end of the year.

How To Watch Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party

One of the major positives about these specials in the last few years is that the family doesn’t have to be glued to the TV during their New Year’s celebrations to be able to watch. Viewers are going to be able to stream the show live on Peacock. Of course, if you’re the old school type you can just tune in to your local NBC station. The show itself is going to run from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET.

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party is going to try and create a new TV tradition. Most TV stations would give viewers a live look in at NYC for new years to watch the ball drop. This particular show is going to be tapped in Miami. There’s been no confirmation as to what they’ll air right at the moment that the clock hits 12. This may be an opportunity to create a whole new tradition live from South Beach!
