2021 was a great year for "Star Wars" fans.

If you've already taken a look at some of the highlights from 2021, then you might already be able to guess what's in store for "Star Wars" fans: a LOT of new shows.

'The Book Of Boba Fett' And 'The Mandalorian' Continues

Although "The Book of Boba Fett" saw its first episode premiere on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, the rest of the show's first season will continue throughout 2022.

Fans have already labeled the show "a dream come true" and can't wait to see Boba Fett and Fennec Shand take on Tatooine!

In addition, season 3 of "The Mandalorian" is supposed to return in 2022 as well. Fans can't wait to see Baby Yoda... er, Grogu, back on screen!

'The Bad Batch' Returns In 2022!

Let's face it: "The Clone Wars" was one of the best animated "Star Wars" series ever, and fans are sad that it's over. However, many were glad to see Clone Force 99 make a return in the 2021 animated series, "The Bad Batch."

Voice actor Dee Bradley Baker returned to voice all five clones: Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Echo, and Crosshair. It also introduced a brand new character, a Force-sensitive girl named Omega, voiced by Michelle Ang.

Fans who have their fingers crossed for a second season are in luck: Lucasfilm has already confirmed that fans will get a sophomore season sometime in 2022!

'Kenobi'

Fans have been waiting a long time to see Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor reunite on screen, and, in 2022, they will finally get to see that happen!

McGregor is returning to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Christensen will be back to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, for both this show and the upcoming "Ahsoka" series currently set for 2023.

Although a specific release date has not yet been given, the Emmy-award-winning McGregor told Variety that “We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow. I think it will not disappoint.”

'Andor'

In December 2021, fans of "Rogue One" celebrated the film's 5-year anniversary! However, fans are still waiting to see Diego Luna reprise his role as Cassian Andor back on screen.

Disney+ has confirmed that "Andor" will appear in Disney+ sometime in 2022. The show has been described as a spy thriller that takes place before the events of "Rogue One."

Of the series, Luna said, “You’ll definitely see familiar faces... I can tell you about this project like no other because I can’t spoil the ending if you’ve seen ['Rogue One'] already. No matter what I say, I can’t ruin the ending.”

More Movies And Shows To Come!

Although there haven't been many details revealed about several other projects, fans are hoping that they'll get more information about several new series that are planned for 2023 and beyond.

One of the most notable of these new series is "Ahsoka," which will see Rosario Dawson reprise her role as the titular character. The show has been steadily building up its cast list over the past year, and fans can't wait for more details about its release!

The Sith-centered series "The Acolyte" hasn't received any new information concerning a release date, but it's rumored that this former "The Hunger Games" star is in talks to play the lead role.

Although fans haven't seen a "Star Wars" film in theaters since 2019's "The Rise of Skywalker" closed out the Skywalker Saga, "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins revealed that she stepped back from her previous commitment to Paramount's "Cleopatra" in order to work on "Rogue Squadron," which was initially set for a 2023 release date.

There is no cast or plot attached to the project, and fans are hoping that they'll get to hear more details about the latest "Star Wars" film sometime in 2022!
