Another teaser for “The Book Of Boba Fett” just dropped and fans can’t wait to watch.
The series, which picks up where season 2 of “The Mandalorian” left off, sees Temeura Morrison reprise his role as the legendary Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. Mina-Na Wen will also return as mercenary Fennec Shand.
The new “Star Wars” adventure was teased after the season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” which showed the unlikely duo returning to Tatooine to try to claim the territory that was once ruled by Jabba the Hutt.
Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez are all serving as executive producers.
Fans Can’t Wait To See Boba Fett Back In Action!
Although the last time fans saw Boba Fett back on screen was during animated cartoons and in season 2 of “The Mandalorian,” those who have only watched the films thought that Boba Fett met his end in the Sarlacc Pit in 1983’s “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi,” which, as of yesterday, is the last film in the original trilogy to finally be entered into the National Film Registry – a major accomplishment for creator George Lucas.
Many fans couldn’t help but shower the latest teaser with comments anticipating Boba Fett’s return.
“Man I just love how Boba was only meant to be smaller side villain in the empire strikes back, and now he’s one of the most beloved characters in the series,” one fan wrote. “This must feel very rewarding to all those original fans.”
“That seems to be a trend with star wars characters,” another noted. “The best ones come from the least screentime. Like Darth Maul!”
“I saw the OT in theaters and was obsessed with Boba since 1980 but always disappointed that he didn’t do more,” said another. “I feel like I waited 40 years for his appearance in The Mandalorian last year and this series is going to be awesome!”
Boba Fett’s Reappearance Is Making ‘Star Wars’ Dreams Come True!
“I am one of those original fans of Boba (before the Mandalorian hype and even before he showed up in Clone Wars again) and I’m absolutely elated that he is back, and that I can finally say I was right that he survived the Sarlacc,” another wrote.
They added, “I envisioned Boba’s return to be a little more cold-hearted like he was in the OT but I’m just happy to see Temuera Morrison getting to finally portray Boba. I trust what Filoni and Favreau are doing, even with my most beloved Star Wars character. My one gripe is that I feel like Fett should wear his helmet more often but hey, I’m just happy that I get the chance to actually see my childhood hero again.”
“The guy that lived among the clone armies, brought up by Jango Fett, had fights with Jedi as a kid, served Vader, and survived the impossible,” another noted. “They better give us a bad— story to this bad— character.”
“Can’t wait to see Temura in action. But don’t forget Ming Na-Wen too,” another added. “Awesome duo!”
“The Book of Boba Fett” will be available to stream on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 29.
