Almost a month after the devastating death of renowned fashion designer Virgil Abloh, his dear friend Drake is paying tribute to his memory and legacy.
The rapper got a heartwarming tattoo honoring the cultural fashion icon who passed away after a private battle with cancer.
Drake Gets Drawing Of Virgil Abloh
The "God's Plan" rapper got an inspirational drawing of the late Virgil on his upper arm. Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Ganga shared a photo of the tear-jerking inking.
The bodywork was a 3D sketch of Virgil dressed in his signature shirt and pants ensemble, throwing what looked like a paper plane into the distance.
The drawing looked realistic and alive, with the littlest details present. Virgil's bracelet and shadow were beautifully sketched into the tattoo. Ganga wrote alongside the photo of the beautiful inking, "A remembrance of the great Virgil Abloh done on Drake."
Drake hasn't shared a photo of the tattoo on his page or commented on it. However, given that an image of the tattoo was shared on Ganga's page, which boasts 1.1 million followers, it seems the rapper is okay with letting fans know about it.
When the Louis Vuitton artistic director passed on November 28, Drake paid a heartfelt tribute to him and celebrated their close friendship in a social media post.
The Toronto native shared several heartwarming photos of him and Virgil, including one of them wearing matching camouflage jackets and another of them shaking hands during one of Drake's performances.
The rapper honored his good friend, writing, "My plan is to touch the sky 1000 more times for you…love you eternally brother 🕊 thank you for everything."

He is survived by his loving wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh, his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh, and numerous dear friends and colleagues."
The release continued, revealing that the Off White founder privately battled a rare and aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma since 2019.
However, amid his health battle, he continuously gave himself to his work and the industry. Virgil's death was mourned by powerhouses in the entertainment industry such as Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Marc Jacobs, and many more.
A $4 Billion Lawsuit
Drake's tattoo tribute comes a day after he received a defamation lawsuit from a woman named Mesha Collins.

As The Blast reported, the 35-year-old was sued by Collins, a former home intruder who broke into his Los Angeles home in 2018.
Collins accused the rapper of invading her privacy on Instagram and demanded a massive $4 billion from him. However, the "frivolous" lawsuit was thrown out by Drake's legal team.
