Fans of Daisy Ridley are excited to hear that she might be joining the Marvel franchise!
Her “Star Wars” sequel trilogy co-star Oscar Isaac made the jump from Resistance pilot Poe Dameron to Marvel’s Moon Knight, which is set to be released on Disney+ some time in 2022.
Earlier this week, Giant Freakin Robot reported that Harrison Ford, 79, had filmed a de-aged Han Solo for an undisclosed “Star Wars” project. If they’re right, it means that fans can look forward to seeing Solo have a small appearance in season 3 of “The Mandalorian” or even “The Book of Boba Fett,” which is set to debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 29.
Earlier today, Giant Freakin Robot teased that they got the inside scoop on another “Star Wars” actress that is in “advanced talks” to take on a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe… Daisy Ridley!

Ridley first became known to audiences when she appeared as Jedi Rey in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy. Although the last film came out in 2019, Ridley has been keeping busy starring in “Chaos Walking” opposite “Spider-Man: No Way Home” star Tom Holland. She has also lent her voice acting abilities to the audiobook thriller “Zoetrope” and has even produced and starred in an indie drama.
Although Ridley is reportedly in advanced talks, it doesn’t mean that she will definitely appear in the franchise. Ridley knows how big of a commitment it would be to appear in a major blockbuster franchise and has even revealed that she had to go to therapy to deal with the “crippling” fame she received after appearing in “Star Wars.”
It seems that Ridley might have come to terms with her newfound fame, as she revealed earlier this year that she would “happily dip her toes into another franchise.”

Rumors have been swirling that Ridley is going to play Spider-Woman ever since a February 2021 interview with USA Today author Sariah Wilson went viral. Some fans were so excited by the announcement that digital artist apexform even drew what Ridley would look like as Spider-Woman.
As Wilson posted on Twitter:
“What so many of you have been waiting for: I asked Daisy Ridley I'd she'd heard the Spider-Woman rumors. She said no and asked what they were. I explained it to her and she said, ‘OMG, I would love to play Spider-Woman. But is it more of like an extended Spiderverse thing?’”
“I told her about it possibly being a new Marvel Universe and asked if she'd do a franchise like that. She said, ‘Oh, yeah, for sure!’ She talked about friends being involved with franchises and how much content there is these days with streaming services.”
“She said she loved ‘Into the Spiderverse’ and has been loving WandaVision. So yes, she would happily dip her toes into another franchise.”
“But she knew nothing about the Spider-Woman rumors. She seemed excited at the prospect, but I had to explain the whole thing to her. She hadn't heard of it at all.”
Now that Ridley knows fans want her to become Spider-Woman, is she ready to take on the role? It seems fans will just have to wait a little longer to find out!
