'Punky Brewster' Star Soleil Moon Frye Close To Settling Her Divorce

'Punky Brewster' star Soleil Moon Fryeis close to settling her divorce with her ex-husband, Jason Goldberg, following a split after 22 years of marriage.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the actress and her former husband both filed "preliminary declaration of disclosures" in the L.A. County Courts, proving they have turned over all relevant financial information to each other. In most cases, this filing indicates that a case is very close to settling.

As we reported, the 'Punky Brewster' star filed for divorce from her husband after 22 years of marriage on December 28, 2020. At this point, the ex-couple is negotiating a settlement in their case, and the newest filing appears to be the beginning of the end of their marriage.

It should be noted, "In every single divorce case in California, with the exception of default cases, both litigants must prepare and serve a set of forms known as Declarations of Disclosure. These forms are the financial statements that set forth a full disclosure for each party of their respective income, expenses, assets, and debts," according to FindLaw.

The famous couple was married in 1998 and shares four children together -- daughters Poet Sienna Rose, 16, and Jagger Joseph Blue, 13, and sons Lyric Sonny Roads, 7, and Story, 5. Obviously, a custody schedule and agreement are a part of the ongoing negotiations, but all indications point to the former couple co-parenting their children. "Soleil Moon Frye and Jason Goldberg quietly separated this year. Their priority will continue to be their four beautiful children as they move forward with love and compassion," a source told People at the time.

The 'Punky Brewster' star recently opened up about the relationship, saying "For me, I’m so grateful for the life that I’ve had."

She continued, "For the beautiful children, I have and I look at the number of years which I’ve been able to share as a celebration. You don’t spend 22 years with someone and not celebrate it." The best part, is she channels her inner Punky Brewster and tries to live every day by her old character's catchphrase by using, 'Punky Power.'

"So I think for both Punky and myself, that’s where we both come from,” Frye said. "It’s a place of love. I don’t really know where Punky ends and I begin because we’re so similar in so many ways, I think it’s this interesting thing, life imitating art, art imitating life."

The couple renewed their vows in front of their children back in 2008.

Shockingly, the actress recently revealed her first sexual experience was with legendary actor Charlie Sheen. The 'Punky' star says the consensual encounter happened in 1994, and she documented it in a diary at the time. Fyre likens Sheen to the character from 'Sex and the City' -- Mr. Big. "It’s been the most strange and incredible day ever,” she wrote. Adding, "He’s somebody I’ve had a crush on for years. He’s a person that intrigues me and excites me."

The divorce case is ongoing.
