Doja Cat is setting the record straight after fans took a former Instagram Live session out of context. The rapper also sent a strong warning to the public about her thriving music career.
Doja Cat Felt Frustrated About Doing Things She Doesn't Want
It all started in November when Doja went on an Instagram Live rant to talk about how busy she gets with her career. The rapper lamented being occupied with numerous activities because of her fame.
Doja shared that she was tired of being booked to do interviews, fashion shoots, gigs, and other activities because she hated them but because she felt mandated to do those things. Then, she lashed out, saying:
I’m doing all of this sh-t that I don’t f--king want to do. I don’t wanna take f--king pictures… I love fashion… I love to dress up… I feel pressured to do sh-t like that. I don’t f--king wanna do that.
The "Woman" singer alleged that precious time was being taken away from her and declared that she hated it all. Before the Instagram Live outrage, Doja had shared similar sentiments in some since-deleted tweets, saying she was overworked and tired.
As we previously covered, the 26-year-old wrote, "I'm just tired and I don't want to do anything. I'm not happy. :/ I'm done saying yes to mother---ers cuz I can't even have a week to just chill."
Following her outrage, speculations surfaced that Doja hated her career and wanted to quit. There were also claims that the Los Angeles native was depressed by the success of her music.
The 'Say So' Singer Clears The Air
In another Instagram Live session over the weekend, Doja set the record straight about fans' opinions about her vulnerable moments. The Grammy nominee explained that saying she doesn't want to participate in activities like game shows or interviews doesn't mean she's "depressed."

Giving a solid warning to media and fans who are perpetuating such information, Doja said, "Don't ever f---ing diagnose me. Don't diagnose me, don't diagnose other people because are you a doctor? I'm sorry. Are you!?"
Doja accused social media fans of acting like psychiatrists and diagnosing her. She also addressed viral YouTube clips that claim she needs help and hates her career, saying "nothing is further from the f---ing truth."
A Positive COVID-19 Diagnosis
While wading off fans' diagnosis, she recently opened up about testing positive for COVID-19. Unfortunately, the singer who was set to perform at the 2021 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour had to drop out after catching the virus.
