Olivia Rodrigo announced some monumental news on Monday, December 6.
The “Drivers License” singer, who took the music scene by storm earlier this year, announced her first-ever tour.
Better yet, an entire US/European tour.

While many of her diehard fans were elated by the news, a TON of fans were very PO’d with the singer.
One commented on the announcement, “OLIVIA WHERE THE F**K IS FLORIDA?”
“WHERE IS TURKEY OLIVIA COME ON,” another dismayed fan questioned the singer.
Many asked Rodrigo, “Where’s Spain” and asked why she wasn’t touring in Latin America.

The buzz about her tour was so immense that ‘olivia’ began trending on Twitter.
The backlash causes ‘olivia’ to begin trending
2021 has been a monumental year of highs and lows for Rodrigo.
The “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” actress, who rose to fame on the show, but shot to A-list superstardom with her debut single, “Drivers License,” has broken records and swept award shows.
She was nominated for SEVEN Grammy Awards for the 2022 award show.
Upon hearing the news of her multiple nominations, she took to Instagram and wrote, “woke up this morning to 7 Grammy nominations. when I was younger, my family lived a few blocks from the staples center, where the Grammys took place every year. I would always walk outside the arena and look at the plaques on the ground with all the winners names in wide eyed wonder. i went to the Grammy museum so many of my free weekends bc I was so fascinated by the history of the show and all of the incredible musicians that made it up.”

Her post continued, “many dreams have come true for me this year but this one is probably the most meaningful. thank you to everyone who has believed in me and supported the songs I write. and thank you to @recordingacademy for the recognition. I’m beyond humbled. truly a day I will never forget. so grateful aghhh❤️💜❤️💜”
While many of her dreams have come true and she’s had fans believe in her, she’s also faced criticism for plagiarizing, copyrighting songs, using a ‘blaccent’ on social media, and now backlash for not expanding her US/European tour to other continents and countries.
