Olivia Rodrigo is feeling grateful!
The 18-year-old singer received multiple Grammy nominations on Wednesday morning, and she felt absolutely ecstatic. She took to Instagram shortly after the nominees were announced to express her gratitude.
Celebrating Her Feats
“woke up this morning to 7 Grammy nominations,” Rodrigo wrote in the caption, along with a picture of a cake with letterings that read, “You did it b–ch! 7,” followed by a photo note of her nominations.
The “drivers license” hitmaker also shared a story where she would visit the Staples Center in Los Angeles pre-fame and gawked at the winners’ plaques.
Manifesting Her Dreams
“when I was younger, my family lived a few blocks from the staples center, where the Grammys took place every year. I would always walk outside the arena and look at the plaques on the ground with all the winners names in wide eyed wonder,” she shared.
She added, “i went to the Grammy museum so many of my free weekends bc I was so fascinated by the history of the show and all of the incredible musicians that made it up. many dreams have come true for me this year but this one is probably the most meaningful. thank you to everyone who has believed in me and supported the songs I write.”
Rodrigo tagged the Grammys official Instagram page and thanked them for the recognition, adding that she felt “beyond humbled. truly a day I will never forget. so grateful aghhh❤️💜❤️💜”
The “Bizaardvark” star was nominated for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album for Sour, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit single “drivers license,” and Best New Music Video for “good 4 u.”

On Her Career

Rodrigo has worked hard in her music career, despite being so young. In a recent interview, she shared what it’s like working in the industry.
“When you’re in the industry, you’re sort of treated like a child but expected to act like an adult,” she told Teen Vogue last month. “That’s a really terrifying thought, to think that I’m not allowed to make any mistakes, because I think that’s how you grow as a person. I’m no different from any other 18-year-old out there. I’m definitely going to make a lot of mistakes in my life and in my career probably too. That’s just life.”
