Fans React To Cardi B's Playboy Announcement

Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known professionally as Cardi B, could not be more excited as she received her newest historic title.

The recording artist has been crowned the first-ever Creative Director In Residence at Playboy. She is also a founding member of Centerfold, the company's latest platform.

Fans were overjoyed with the groundbreaking news and swiftly took to social media platforms to react to the employment announcement.

On Thursday, December 2, Cardi B gushed over her newest employment at Playboy and asked the public what they expected from her role.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper tweeted that she is living a dream and starting the party as the Founding member and Creative Director of Playboy's creator-led platform.

The mother-of-two divulged that she anticipates "everything that is coming" and asked fans what artist they would love to see "on some sexy shit on the cover of playboy?"

Comments began flowing under the post. Atlantic Records wrote, "CONGRATS CARDI, LITERAL LEGEND." A user tweeted, "Cardi b and the b stands for business woman✨."

A stan typed, "Yess I am soo proud and happy for you ❤️❤️" while another asked, "Hey @iamcardib, are you taking your Playboy compensation in $PLBY?  I think you should."

A fan expressed their pride over the "I Like It" artist's multitalented nature, writing, "Omfg congrats Cardi B. You do it all 😩." 

One user was giddy over a particular statement in the Grammy winner's tweet, typing," 'Everything that is coming'?? Belcalis, you better not play with us."

Another Twitter user hoped that Cardi B's statement meant something beyond her playboy announcement, tweeting, "Everything that is coming girl that better be the album or else."

A supporter noted that the "Hustlers" actress deserves the title "MORE THAN ANYONE EVER" because she hustled her way to the top and will flip the world with her creative ideas.

Another hardcore fan bragged that "no female rapper that works as hard as Cardi B. I'm talking past & present."

Cardi B might not need more press but has got it with her latest announcement, just off the heels of her iconic night as the host of the American Music Awards.

The Blast reported that the "Money" rapper's latest collaboration is with Playboy as its Creative Director and the co-founder of its new platform, Centerfold.

Per the New York Post, Cardi B's resident Creative Director position entails that she will offer artistic direction over "co-branded fashion and sexual wellness merchandise collections, digital editorial, experiential activations and more." 

In a press release, The "F9" star admitted to having a life-long connection to Playboy, which she regards as the "original platform for uncensored creativity."

Cardi B said she has always been inspired by Playboy's amazing history of fighting for the expression of personal freedom.

The chief executive officer of PLBY Group, Ben Kohn, praised his newest business partner as a creative genius whose immense talent and vision make working with her an honor.

Kohn credited Cardi B for being committed to unapologetically expressing herself freely, adding that she is the "embodiment of the Playboy brand" due to her celebration of body positivity and sex.
