Steve Martin Teases New Season Of 'Only Murders' & New Cast Member!

Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Martin Short are embarking on another slew of murders in their New York City apartment building.

The hit Hulu show, “Only Murders in the Building,” is in the beginning stages of production for season two.

Steve is beyond excited to begin filming and posted a throwback photo on December 1 from the first day of filming season one.

He wrote, “Our first day of shooting 'Only Murders in the Building!' We are happy to be back.”

If you’re not familiar with the Hulu show, let me break it down real quick.

‘Only Murders’ is a mystery comedy series about three strangers who all reside in the same apartment building. In addition to living in the building, they all unknowingly have a shared obsession with true crime. Lo and behold, their lives become a true crime story when a death occurs in their boujie Upper West Side apartment building.

Martin, Short and Gomez’s characters suspect there’s been a murder and proceed to conduct their own investigation while simultaneously recording a podcast. Little did they realize that the murderer COULD be living amongst them.

Season one received rave reviews so much so, that back in September, the streaming giant announced the series would be renewed for a second season.

And thanks to Steve’s recent post, it looks like the beginning stages of production are underway.

Many fans were so excited to see his Twitter post and made sure to express their emotions in the comments.

“Yeah! Oh yeah! Love love love this show! My only problem is that the decorating of the sets is so great, it is a little distracting. I have to keep stopping the show to check out the wall paper, lamps and art,” wrote one fan.

Um ma’am… sounds like a personal problem to me.

Another ‘Only Murders’ fan wrote, “A FANTASTIC show!!! Can’t wait for season 2.”

“I just started watching this. We are laughing a LOT. What a great idea. No doubt the maestro Martin Short thought it all up,” a newcomer wrote.

To add to the excitement of season two, a new, uber-famous cast member was just announced to join the show.

Actress, signer and supermodel, Cara Delevingne, is joining the show!

According to Variety, Cara will join the show as a series regular who goes by the name ‘Alice.’

Her character is described as a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the mystery.

Cara’s acting credits include “Anna Karenina,” “Paper Towns” and “Suicide Squad.”
