Alexandra Cooper is the host of the popular podcast 'Call Her Daddy' which is one of the top 10 podcasts on Spotify, in both Top Podcasts and Comedy rankings. And "Father Cooper" as Alexandra goes by on Instagram, and the show, has also gone up in rankings, as per Forbes.
She just made the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 list of up-and-coming media personalities although some of her fans had misapprehension about it. Here's the DL on it all.
Alexandra Cooper Thanks The "Daddy Gang"
All the fans, guests, crew of her podcast have now become the "Daddy Gang" and Alexandra Cooper thanks them all when she took to Instagram to talk about her Forbes win. She wrote, "Making the Forbes 30 under 30 list started as a dream, turned into a goal, and now is reality. I truly can’t express how much this means. Thank you @forbes but more importantly, thank you Daddy Gang."
Here's the Instagram post.

The Emergence Of 'Call Her Daddy'

If you want to know just how famous Alexandra Cooper is, digest this. On Black Friday, she took to Instagram to announce a sale of her merchandised stuff and it is said, it crossed $1 million.
Alexandra Cooper did not start the podcast alone. It aired at Barstool Sports in 2018, a rather controversial media company not known for its feminist views. Sofia Franklyn cohosted the podcast along with Cooper and things were spiffy till the hosts sort of split off, into differing intellectual dimensions. The podcast went off the air as it went through a legal battle and finally emerged on Spotify, in what is reported to be a $60-million deal for Cooper, although she retains all intellectual property rights. Spotify has the podcast and content leased for only three years and Franklyn has ventured into her podcast, called 'Sofia with an F'.
According to Forbes, the Spotify deal may have made Cooper "one of the highest-paid female podcasters of 2021, and it also helped land her a spot on Forbes’ 2022 30 Under 30 Media list.
Cooper shares the honor with the likes of Willa Bennet, Cole Brown, and CNN correspondent Jeremy Diamond.
The Trolls Are Out For Alexandra Cooper
But all is not well and as Cooper spoke at the Forbes 20 Under 30 summit in Detroit there were some pointed letters to the editor about how Cooper's podcast was not all that positive. Some felt it carried negative undertones and was harmful to the younger listeners. But Cooper makes no excuses for her content, though she admits that she is now careful about what she says, to make sure it does not affect any listener the wrong way.
With guests such as Amanda Knox, who "did not f***ing do it", it's no surprise to see Alexandra Cooper's star rising. And if the trolls rise too, so be it because as Cooper says it, "a click is a click is a click".
