As the release date for the new Spider-Man No Way Home movie approaches more and more actors are getting questions about a potential return to the franchise. Although most of the folks involved in previous Spider-Man film franchises have outright denied that they are going to appear in this new film, they have taken their time back in the spotlight to reminisce about being in the film franchise. Kirsten Dunst , who famously played Mary-Jane Watson, has been one of those actors that have denied a return to the spider-verse. She did recall though that when she was cast as Mary Jane Watson director Sam Raimi and his team had some odd requests.
What Kirsten Dunst Had To Give Up To Play The Role
“The pay disparity between me and Spider-Man was very extreme,” Dunst goes on to say “I didn’t even think about it. I was just like, ‘Oh yeah, Tobey [Maguire] is playing Spider-Man.’ But you know who was on the cover of the second ‘Spider-Man’ poster? Spider-Man and me.”
Refusing To Straighten Her Teeth To Be In The Movie
“Who knows? I mean, I have a really good mom, too, but my mom is someone who might have been like, ‘Yeah, why not have straight teeth?’”
If you are wondering, they did go back in the editing room and straighten Mary Jane Watson’s teeth. That seems like a better way to deal with things than having to go through an extensive dental procedure.
She’s Not Coming Back For This Spider-Man, But She Wouldn’t Rule Out A Comeback
“I would never say no to something like that … I’d be old MJ at this point with little Spidey babies.”
Did she come up with this idea on her own, or is she literally reading part of the upcoming Spider-Man No Way Home script?
