DaBaby's baby mama, DaniLeigh, has been charged with simple assault following a domestic violence incident with the famous rapper.

The singer, whose real name is Danielle Curiel, was charged in two incidents involving DaBaby according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The incident started after the 'Suge' rapper called the police on his former girlfriend, following an attempt to throw her out of his property.

According to reports, the couple shares a newborn baby daughter together, who was present for the ex-couple's argument. The tense situation unfolded live on Instagram, as the rapper went live to document what was happening. Danielle broke her silence on the incident, claiming it started after she had 'Plan-B' sent to the couple's address. "This all goes to say that this man is a f---ing coward!!!!!" adding that she was asleep after cooking him dinner when he arrived back into the room to kick her out.

She continued, "Ima learn and Ima grow … but this right here. ain’t it.. and I'm sorry to my baby that her father is kicking her out her home at 3 months."

"I done been beat on and yelled at and chased around like one of them fatal attraction type girls," he said.

Interestingly, DaBaby says he is not the one who pressed charges, and it's unclear why the police department decided to pursue a 'simple assault' case. "End of the day, no big deal, I don't want no charges pressed or nothing I just want her peacefully removed which they need to hurry up and do as we speak. I ain't even want that behavior on display, but it's okay man this too shall pass, it's all good," DaBady wrote.

In most cases, the police department will refer the case to a State Attorney's office or District Attorney -- depending on the location -- who will decide whether or not to go forward with the charges. It should be noted, a misdemeanor of this nature doesn't normally carry jail time, especially for first-time offenders.

It's unclear if DaniLeigh has moved out of the rapper's Charlotte penthouse, following the assault charges.

The couple was first connected after DaBaby featured DaniLeigh in his 2020 music video for 'Levi High.'
