8 years, still going strong and Josh Brolin is loving every bit of it!
The star actor portrays several hardcore characters, most especially the Marvel supervillain ‘Thanos.’ However, unlike his on-screen persona, the actor has a more gentlemanly side.

Josh Brolin’s Inspirational Message On His 8th Year Of Sobriety
The Hollywood sensation started the new month with a touching tribute to himself and his loved ones for making this 8-year milestone a reality.
The “Deadpool 2” actor uploaded a throwback picture of his younger self alongside a beautiful interpretation of the word ‘sobriety.’
The Screen Actors Guild Award winner explained that sobriety was a moment where one could love with not only thinking about their interests but the ability to be content with another person’s happiness.
The 53-year-old stated that abstinence involved understanding that God was involved in everything, including all the colors that existed.
He also referred to the moon as the witness of both his difficult period and happiness. The “Avengers: Endgame” star’s family was not forgotten in his poetic message.
He revealed that his wife expressed her gratitude with a sweet note hidden in his truck and mentioned that their children finally had faith in him. The California native’s last note on sobriety read:
“Sobriety is about living better than your remembrance of what your greatest drunk ever was — an everyday malleability into gratitude for what is.”
The actor concluded his message with heartfelt thanks to God and his loved ones for helping him achieve the best “punk rock sobriety imaginable.”

How The “W.” Star Turned His Life Around
As reported by PEOPLE, the renowned actor was the subject of various controversies due to his inebriated behavior on many occasions.
In 2013, Brolin was motivated to turn his life around after separating from Diane Lane, his wife of 8 years. Later that year, the Hollywood sensation checked himself into a rehabilitation facility for substance abuse.
At the time, the actor confessed that his destructive behavior was a product of his grieving heart. When he was in his 20s, the California-born lost his mother, and this traumatizing incident affected him in more ways than one.
However, his 2013 experiences helped the “Sicario” star realize how badly his life needed to change.
The 53-year-old is currently married to Kathryn Brolin, and the couple share two adorable daughters — Westlyn Reign and Chapel Grace.

The Marvel Star Is An Unconventional Type Of Parent
The 53-year-old wasn’t shy as he took off his trousers to show his precious daughter, Westlyn Reign, how to use her tiny pink toilet. The proud dad captioned the potty training post with:
“There’s nothing like the power of example (what to do and what not to do).?”
In 2018, the “Hail, Caesar!” star affectionately welcomed his little bundle of joy with a sweet video of the newborn sleeping. His wife also gave a similar heartwarming welcome to their second daughter on December 25, 2020.
