How The "W." Star Turned His Life Around

As reported by PEOPLE, the renowned actor was the subject of various controversies due to his inebriated behavior on many occasions.

In 2013, Brolin was motivated to turn his life around after separating from Diane Lane, his wife of 8 years. Later that year, the Hollywood sensation checked himself into a rehabilitation facility for substance abuse.

At the time, the actor confessed that his destructive behavior was a product of his grieving heart. When he was in his 20s, the California-born lost his mother, and this traumatizing incident affected him in more ways than one.

However, his 2013 experiences helped the "Sicario" star realize how badly his life needed to change.

The 53-year-old wasn't shy as he took off his trousers to show his precious daughter, Westlyn Reign, how to use her tiny pink toilet. The proud dad captioned the potty training post with:

"There's nothing like the power of example (what to do and what not to do).?"

In 2018, the "Hail, Caesar!" star affectionately welcomed his little bundle of joy with a sweet video of the newborn sleeping. His wife also gave a similar heartwarming welcome to their second daughter on December 25, 2020.
