Kristen Stewart Shares Emotional Moment In Princess Diana Wedding Dress

Having to play a real person in a biopic can certainly bring forth a whole range of emotions. Particularly when you're playing someone from the not so distant past. There's no doubt that Princess Diana left her mark on the world despite the fact that she left it way too early. Kristen Stewart who plays the defunct Princess of Wales in the new film "Spencer" has spoken a lot about the vibes that she got while playing the character. No feeling may have been as surreal for her as putting on a replica of Diana's iconic wedding dress!
The Way The Movie Portrays The Wedding Montage Could Be To Blame For The Spooky Vibes
In a recent sit down with Entertainment Tonight, Stewart spilled some details about what audiences can expect to see in the film. For example, she mentioned that the film isn't necessarily going to cover such an early part of Diana's life. Instead, it focuses on Diana in her late 20s early 30s. There is a flash back scene though, which is where she got the chance to put on the dress. She told ET about the way that scene was made,
"We didn't have to do the wedding scene but I still had one walk, walking outside of this castle," she goes o"I was like, 'Wait, but this is so particular.' This actually does land on a very precise day of her life and [Pablo LarraĆn] was like, 'Take everything you learned about that day, all of your emotional responses that you have accumulated, put them all right here."
Kristen Stewart Is Giving Out Some Spoilers
Along with sharing her emotions throughout the filming process on the set of "Spencer", Stewart also shared a couple of details from the film. We could say that she shared a couple of spoilers, but not too many. It wasn't like she was channelling her inner Tom Holland. Kristen did mention though that the entire plot of the movie takes place in around just 3 or 4 days of Diana's life. Don't expect "Spencer" to follow the typical full-life biopic route! The bit where she got to wear the wedding dress is a short montage of Diana's full life. She mentioned,
"When we put that dress on, it is embedded in a montage that kind of flashed her life before you. Even though the movie takes place over a three-day period and even though I play her as a speculatively 29-, 30-year-old person, we still wanted to give a taste of the scope of her life,"
Covering A Time Frame That Was Heavily Featured In The Crown
Stewart is getting some early Oscar buzz for her role as the late Princess of Wales. The film certainly seems to have a lot of things going for it. If there's one element though that could potentially derail the hype train it's that the film is going to have something to be directly compared to. From what we know the movie Spencer is going to be centered around a Christmas gathering of the royals at the Sandringham estate in 1991. The "problem" for the movie is that those events served for the climax of the season finale of The Crown the last time we saw the Windsor's on Netflix. That season finale garnered a lot of praise. The movie could be affected by the direct comparisons between the two.
