Dog The Bounty Hunter and John Walsh are being slammed by the attorney representing the family of Brian Laundrie, for inserting themselves into the ongoing investigation.
According to the family's lawyer -- Steven Bertolino -- Dog and Walsh are "dusty relics" who are using the terrible situation to garner publicity for themselves. The statement comes on the heels of Duane 'Dog' Chapman returning to the home of Brian's sister, to question her about the ongoing investigation.
"Dusty relics like that Dog and John Walsh need a tragic situation like this so they can clear the cobwebs off their names and give their publicity-hungry egos some food," Bertolino blasted.
Brian Laundrie's Family Attorney Blasts Dog The Bounty Hunter
As we reported, Dog joined the hunt after going public saying he felt the need to use his special skill set to get closer to Gabby Petito's family. Of course, the reality star's appearance on the scene drummed up a lot of publicity included the media covering his every move in Florida.
The Laundrie family lawyer responded to questions about the famous television stars possibly impeding the official investigation, including showing up unannounced to his parents and sister's homes -- but he said, "That's for law enforcement to determine."
Interestingly, the family should expect major networks and others to start putting together shows and documentary's about the ongoing search, considering it is worldwide news. Of course, Walsh is preparing a new 'America's Most Wanted' on the Petito case, and working on the hunt for Brian.
Dog The Bounty Hunter & John Walsh On The Case Of Gabby Petito
As we reported, Walsh spoke up during a press conference announcing that Gabby's cause of death was "Strangulation."
During the live stream, the coroner's officer revealed Petito's body was in the wilderness for three to four weeks, but there will not be an exact date of death on the death certificate. After the announcement, John Walsh -- who currently stars in his own show 'In Pursuit with John Walsh' slammed Laundrie saying, "I think everybody in the world believes Brian Laundrie killed Gabby. With extensive work on the body are you sure that it’s Brian Laundrie and will the FBI issue a nationwide homicide warrant now that they know the cause of death?”
Walsh continued, calling himself "old school" and noted that her ex-fiance is currently the only suspect. Of course, the coroner's office didn't respond to his statement and only referred him to the FBI about questions regarding Brian Laundrie as a suspect.
Duane 'Dog' Chapman Arrives On Scene To Question Brian Laundrie's Sister
As for Dog, a video made rounds today of him arriving at Laundrie's sister's home, attempting to question her about the ongoing case. It doesn't appear they were willing to talk to the reality star, but DTBH is back on the case. As we reported, he headed home from Florida to treat a serious ankle injury, which happened as he was searching through swampy areas of South Florida.
After treating the injury, Dog returned to the area and has continued his search for Laundrie.
Publicity or not, Dog and Walsh have a track record for getting tips and help from the public in finding high-profile fugitives.
