Bam Margera was cuffed and shipped to a Florida rehab facility after he was photographed drinking inside a casino, and reportedly threatened to “jump off a bridge.”
According to reports, Margera is addressing the incident last week, where a picture of the ‘Jackass’ star surfaced appearing to be handcuffed by officers, and was ultimately taken to a rehabilitation center in Flordia. The ‘Jackass’ star now says he was photographed with a drink in his hand inside a Florida casino, and it ultimately led to cops shipping him back to rehab.
Margera claims he spent the last 140 days inside an Arizona facility where he was treated for manic bipolar disorder. Following the treatment, he was transferred to an outpatient facility in Florida. So, the movie star started taking daily outpatient classes in the Sunshine State and was staying with a friend and relative.
Bam Margera Allegedly Threatens To ‘Jump Off A Bridge’
Last week, Bam’s wife and son planned a trip to come to visit him in Florida, but their flight was reportedly delayed. So, Bam started killing time in the casino. The problem is…a fan posted pictures with the movie star with what appeared to be a drink in his hand, and Bam believes a loved one saw the photographs and alerted authorities of the situation.
Shockingly, the same person told officers that Bam had “threatened to jump off a bridge.” As we reported, deputies responded to the Don CeSar Resort Hotel in St. Pete Beach to the call of an “emotionally distressed person.” According to law enforcement, Bam was given a ride to the rehab facility in the back of a cop car but was NOT arrested.
The good news, Bam says the bridge jumping comment was all a big misunderstanding.
At this point, Bam will continue rehabilitation for the next two months.
‘Jackass’ Star Says It Was All A Big ‘Misunderstanding’
The Florida incident comes on the heels of ‘Jackass’ director — Jeff Tremaine — getting a three-year restraining order against Magera for making threats against him and his family.
The filmmaker claimed Margera sent him disturbing messages which included, “I’m gonna kill you in one mother f–king punch” and “Keep it up fat boy and I will continue.”
The ‘Jackass’ director included text messages in his request for a restraining order to the court, with one reading, “Look at your children and grab your pocketbook and write a check, if you are greedy and cheap, look at your children again. If you don‘t sign the paper, look at your children. Sign your stupid f–king contract before your [sic] not safe anywhere.”
Bam Margera Will Be In Florida Rehab For The Next Two Months
During the hearing, Tremaine’s legal team claimed Margera had texted a colleague of the ‘Jackass’ crew with a photo of his alleged contract, saying he has “powers as a wizard” and “can create and strike lightning” while speaking at times using numbers instead of words.
As we reported, producers behind ‘Jackass 4’ forced him into drug rehab in order to participate in the film. Following the stint, Bam claimed the medication forced on him during the stay, left him with suicidal thoughts.
Margera will be in Florida receiving treatment for the next two months.
