On Wednesday, TIME announced their 2022 Person of the Year.

Some were surprised to see it was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Spirit of Ukraine.

However, that decision was not without its controversy.

Some felt that there were “better” picks for TIME’s 2022 Person of the Year.

One person posted a cover of Hitler on the cover of TIME magazine.

They said the photo served as a “quick reminder” that their picks “are not always correct.”

However, some felt that Zelenskyy’s selection was well-deserved.

He has been on the front lines defending Ukraine against the Russian invasion.

The war started in February and is still, unfortunately, ongoing.
