The “Tiger King” himself, Joe Exotic, will be resentenced on Friday, January 28th.

Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was sentenced to 22 years behind bars.

In July, an appeals court ruled that Exotic should be facing a shorter sentence.

He was sentenced for two separate murder-for-hire convictions when he should have only been sentenced for one.

This would have reduced his sentence from 22-27 years down to 17 ½ to 22 years.

Exotic was also charged for the murder of five tigers, selling tiger cubs, and falsifying wildlife records.

In November, Exotic revealed that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

However, he is delaying his cancer treatment until his resentencing.

Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin has yet to comment on this news.
