Selena Gomez lost herself in 2018.

The ‘Only Murders’ actress recently sat down with Rolling Stone and opened up about a mental health crisis she experienced and the aftermath of it.

SelGo was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018.

In her cover story interview with RS, she revealed she had to relearn “certain words” while on a medication “detox.”

She suffered a 2018 psychosis episode and was diagnosed as bipolar.

“It was just that I was gone,” she admitted. “There was no part of me that was there anymore.”

The 30-year-old explained she was “guided” back to herself by a psychiatrist.

“I had to detox, essentially, from the medications I was on,” the singer said candidly.

During this trying time, SelGo ended up in a treatment center in Connecticut because she was hearing voices and became paranoid.
