The ExxonMobil plant in Baytown, Texas, experienced an explosion on early Thursday morning.

Their official Twitter account said “a fire occurred at our facility” around 1 am.

Residents saw emergency vehicles responding to the scene, as well as smoke and fire.

“Little more than a fire,” one person commented. “My house shook to its foundation miles away from you.”

Harris County sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that an explosion occurred inside the plant.

Four workers were reported to be injured; no fatalities have been reported.

Three were life flighted and one was taken to the hospital via an ambulance.

No sheltering in place or evacuation orders were given to residents.

Dozens of workers were injured in a fire at the same plant in 2019.
