CDC Director Rochelle Walensky is providing some important information about the new CDC guidelines.

The days of isolation after a positive COVID test have dropped from 10 days to 5 days.

People who are vaccinated and boosted are also not required to isolate, but should wear a mask.

The CDC says that those who test positive are not required to re-test after five days of isolating.

They said the antigen test does not correlate with transmissibility.

However, the CDC does want you to get tested within first five days of exposure.

Walensky said that they tried to create rules “that people were willing to adhere to.”

They said that people who feel well “may not comply with being at home.”

She also admitted that while “the government is doing a lot… we have the need to do more.”
