Honey Boo Boo is about to turn 16-years-old this week, and the former child star is opening up about her life, including fat-shaming, family drug abuse, and having no friends.

The ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ star revealed how she changed since gaining international fame following her spot on ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ in 2012.

She goes to a public high school and says she filters out friends based on who still chooses to call her by the childhood nickname. She embraced it in the past but chose to leave it behind.

“To be honest, I do not have many friends. At all,” she said. “I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends.”

Alana revealed she has continued to be harassed by body-shaming trolls. "Just because I got a little bit of extra meat on my bones, you want to hate me?" she asked.
