As for how Taylor died, the Puerto Rico Police Department is leading the death investigation. The FBI was initially contacted as protocol for a death in international waters, but The Blast has confirmed the FBI determined the death was not criminal and handed the investigation over to the local authorities.

The U.S. Coast Guard also received a call over the death and will be investigating the death purely from a "marine safety standpoint."

The Blast first broke the story regarding Taylor's death on the Royal Caribbean ship, Harmony of the Seas.
