‘Southern Charm’ Star Kathryn Dennis Uses Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thomas Ravenel in Custody Battle

“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis is bringing up the sexual assault allegations against her ex, Thomas Ravenel, as part of her move to get primary custody of the couple’s two children.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the 27-year-old Dennis is responding to the 56-year-old Ravenel’s attempt to keep their joint custody arrangement in place.

She argues that since the court-appointed doctor submitted his report in 2017, which said both Dennis and Ravenel were fit parents and recommended co-parenting, many new things have come to light that would likely change the doctor’s conclusions.

Dennis points to the allegations that Ravenel sexually assaulted a woman named Debbie Perkins and that he allegedly paid her $200,000 to keep quiet about the ordeal.

She also mentions that Ravenel was accused of sexual assault by another woman — the couple’s former nanny, Dawn Ledwell, who appeared on “Southern Charm.” He was arrested back in September and charged with assault and battery in the second degree over the incident.

Bravo also dropped Ravenel from the show shortly after the arrest.

Dennis says there are “other incidents of bizarre behavior arising out of his intoxication due to a mixture of alcohol and prescription drugs.”

She claims to also be concerned with Ravenel’s admission that he has locked the kids in their rooms at night on occasion, which she fears is a safety hazard.

Dennis claims that Ravenel’s allegations she somehow orchestrated a plot to have his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, make defamatory statements about him to the press is nonsense. She argues that Jacobs has repeatedly said horrible and defamatory statements about her and should not be exposed to their kids.

She also scoffs at the idea that she is seeking primary custody of the kids so it can be a plotline on “Southern Charm.”

Kathryn Dennis wants all of Ravenel’s requests denied and his lawsuit over the unaired footage dismissed.

Back in November, Ravenel filed a lawsuit against Bravo and “Southern Charm” producers demanding a judge stop them from broadcasting unaired footage on the show.

Ravenel filed the docs as part of his custody battle with Dennis. She filed for primary custody of the children back in October.

Dennis had her custody taken away in 2016 after failing a drug test but was awarded joint custody this year after completing rehab and staying clean.

In his suit against Bravo, Ravenel says the network and producers “encouraged” his ex to file for custody against him to create drama on the show. He is demanding Dennis not be awarded primary custody despite her request.

Ravenel, who is about to be on trial for an alleged sexual assault in South Carolina, claimed he learned that Bravo and producers have unaired footage of his kids and ex talking about the legal battle and it was to be aired on the upcoming season.

The reality star sued demanding a South Carolina judge prohibit the sensitive footage from airing on the show.
