Man Responsible for Death of Sarah Hyland's Cousin Will be Charged with Homicide

Sarah Hyland had strong words to say against the man responsible for the death of her cousin, and so does the County Attorney who plans on elevating the man's charges to include the death of the young boy.
The Douglas County Attorney in Nebraska tells The Blast she plans on filing motor vehicle homicide charges against 36-year-old Jeffrey Eggeling. We're told the decision for the elevated charge was due to the death of 14-year-old Trevor Canaday, and also because Eggeling has a history of DUI related arrests.
The County Attorney tells us the charges should be filed Tuesday, and with the homicide charge tacked on to the DUI with serious bodily injury, and leaving the scene of an accident charges, Eggeling is facing 50 years behind bars.
As we reported, Hyland wished Eggeling would "rot in hell" after crashing into a car driven by her uncle and cousin. The "Modern Family" star's uncle was seriously injured, but expected to survive. Hyland's cousin was ejected from the vehicle and later died due to his injuries.
A GoFundMe for Trevor's family has received over $31,000 in donations, including $2,500 from Hyland's co-star, Ariel Winter.
