Apollo Nida — the ex-husband of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks — will be released from prison much earlier after a judge slashed his sentence by a year.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a federal judge signed off on an order reducing Nida’s 96-month prison term down to 84 months, shaving off a full year.
The document states, “The defendant’s sentence is hereby reduced to 84 months of imprisonment with credit to be given by the Bureau of Prisons for all time served. All other terms of the sentence imposed by this court on July 8, 2014, shall remain unaffected by this order.”
Nida is now scheduled to be released in August 2020 and will be on probation for several years.

Back in 2014, Nida was originally sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud and identity theft.
Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida were married in 2009 but following his prison sentence, they separated. They officially filed for divorce in 2016 and fought for several months until settling in 2017.
Nida is currently locked up in a New Jersey federal prison, Fort Dix FCI.
