August Ames penned a note to her family and friends apologizing before taking her life in a public park, but did not address the recent backlash she had received from the porn community.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner tells The Blast a note was discovered in Ames' car apologizing for committing suicide, however we're told she did not mention the harassment and cyberbullying she was receiving after refusing to shoot a sex scene with a male performer who had done gay porn.

As we previously reported, Ames was under fire from fans and other performers in the adult entertainment community and was being labeled a "homophobe." The attacks were so vicious, one person even told her to kill herself by taking a cyanide pill.

The medical examiner says Ames was discovered around 3:45AM hanging in a public park 20 minutes from her home in Camarillo. Her cause of death is asphyxiation due to hanging.

Toxicology tests are still being performed, and we're told drugs and alcohol were not found at the scene or in her car.

Since news of the young starlet's death broke, other big names in the porn world, like Jenna Jameson, have blamed the adult industry for contributing to her death and not supporting her while she was being attacked.
