Luke Perry's Son Breaks His Silence After His Father's Death: 'My Heart Is Broken'

Luke Perry's 21-year-old son is opening up about the loss of his father.

Jack Perry took to Instagram on Wednesday, speaking out for the first time since Perry's shocking passing following a stroke.

"He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad," Perry began. "He loved supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be."

Perry continued, "I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth."

He concluded by saying, "I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you Dad."

Perry's daughter, Sophie, responded to the post with an inside joke, writing, "You’re [sic] head was very large and he loves you very much."

She shared her own thoughts on Tuesday, writing, "I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye."

Luke Perry passed away on Monday after suffering a stroke last week.

Perry’s rep told The Blast that the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star died “surrounded by his children, Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”
