The cause of death for Kim Porter has now been released, and officials determined she died of lobar pneumonia.
The L.A. County Medical Examiner lists Porter's death as "natural" after she was found unresponsive in her home on the morning of November 15.
On November 12, a doctor visited the mother of Diddy's children's house after she was experiencing flu-like symptoms. According to the document, Porter said she was feeling "nasal congestion, "sweats", mild cough, body aches and a sore throat. She had a fever of 102 degrees and also noted a "mild streak of blood with phlegm" while coughing that day.
She had also been prescribed antibiotics and IV fluids from her doctor. The report notes there is no history of drug or alcohol abuse.
The coroner's report notes that Porter received a massage from her goddaughter on November 14, and was allegedly feeling better. Hours before she died, Porter was also "watching movies with family" and went to bed at 11:30 PM.
One month before Porter died she had visited Africa, and many had theorized she may have contracted an illness while traveling. However, the report makes it clear she did not have any health complaints when she returned home.
When Porter's body was found, investigators noted a small amount of blood issuing from her right nostril, as well as a white, froth from her mouth. They also observed many empty bottles of water, Pedialyte and sports drinks on a nightstand near the bed. There was also a bowl of tomato soup nearby.
As we reported, Porter has already been buried in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia during a ceremony led by Diddy. Mary J. Blige also eulogized her friend and talked about how Porter tried to save her from a bad marriage.
After her death, Diddy mourned Porter and said they were "more than soulmates."
