‘Rehab Addict’ Star Nicole Curtis Fighting for Custody of Son After Baby Daddy Claims She's Unfit to Parent

The star of HGTV's "Rehab Addict" is tangled up in a bitter custody dispute, and now her baby daddy is accusing her of being an unfit mother for allegedly trying to ruin the relationship between the child and his father.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Shane Maguire filed a request for custody on July 3rd in the ongoing custody case against Nicole Curtis. Maguire is now seeking sole custody of 3-year-old Harper, and says Curtis has been "incapable of facilitating" the relationship between Maguire and their son.

He outright claims the HGTV star is trying to "ruin their relationship entirely," by making custodial handoffs a "game of cat and mouse." Maguire says things got so bad on Father's Day, he was forced to have his lawyer get involved to make sure he saw his son. He claims Curtis lied about where she was and forced him to drive around town trying to locate the child.

Because of her alleged actions, Maguire claims Curtis is "not a fit and proper person to share legal or physical custody of the minor.” He is demanding the court strip her of physical custody and award him the sole custody.

Back in 2016, the court entered a final judgement in their case that covered custody, support and other issues. Curtis was awarded primary physical custody and the ex-couple shared legal custody. Maguire was also ordered to pay $1,200 a month in child support.

Since then, the two have continued to battle it out, with Maguire accusing Curtis of moving across the country after he moved closer to their son.

He's also heavily criticized her decision to breastfeed their son past the age of 2-years-old.

The reality star has previously denied all the allegations against her by Maguire, and has not yet responded to the newest custody issue.
