Heather Locklear Car Crash: Hear the Emergency Audio
By TheBlast Staff on September 15, 2017 at 1:22 AM EDT
Heather Locklear was able to pull herself from her wrecked car after driving it into a ditch, this according to the emergency dispatch audio obtained by The Blast.
According to the Ventura County Fire call, Locklear drove her Porsche off the road Thursday night and ended up three feet into a ditch.
Officials immediately dispatched a technical rescue crew, but called them off after Locklear was able to extricate herself from the vehicle on her own.
Responders still dispatched a medical unit to the scene, however, as Locklear had suffered minor injuries in the wreck. She was later transported to the hospital.
As The Blast previously reported, investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash, including the possibility of distracted driving.
UPDATE
10:00AM: Ventura County Sheriffs tell us investigators spoke with Locklear and are comfortable she did nothing criminally wrong in the accident.
We're told after the results of a chemical test came back negative, it was determined drugs and alcohol were not a factor. Cops also say there is no need to pull phone records anymore because she will not be cited and the damage was mainly to Locklear's car, which she will be responsible for on her own.
The "T.J. Hooker" star also posted a message this morning letting everyone know she's doing ok since the crash.
I'm home and good. Thank you for your concern!?
