Geena Davis has filed documents in her divorce claiming the whole thing is moot because she believes her fourth marriage was never official.
According to our sources, Davis believes the proper paperwork was never filed when she married Reza Jarrahy back in 2001. The couple tied the knot in a small, private ceremony in the Hamptons.
We're told Davis filed a petition on Tuesday to have the divorce case dismissed because she believes they were never really married.
Sources close Jarrahy believe Davis' claim the marriage was never official is bogus — he says there were plenty of witnesses at the wedding and Davis has given numerous interviews over the years where he has referenced their marriage.
Davis and Jarrahy were married for nearly 17 years before he filed for divorce in May. The couple share 13-year-old twin sons, Kaiis and Kian, as well as a 16-year-old daughter, Alizeh.
Davis was previously married to Richard Emmolo, Jeff Goldblum, and director Renny Harlin.
