Rapper G-Eazy was arrested in Stockholm early Thursday morning after he allegedly got into a fight at a nightclub following a performance.
Swedish police confirm to The Blast one American citizen was arrested around 3 AM on a charge of assault. Police say it appears the assault involved an official or employee at the club.
We're told G-Eazy is currently in custody until he sees a judge. Court is closed for the day so he won't be able to get out until Friday.
Prosecutor Carl Mellberg told a Swedish radio station (with a little help from Google Translate), "I think that he is probably suspected of violence against an official and that there is also a risk that the suspect will deviate or otherwise avoid lawsuit or punishment."
G-Eazy was reportedly with Sean Kingston and his girlfriend, Halsey, at the time of the arrest. Earlier in the night he was seen handing out shots at a nightclub.
