Forest Whitaker‘s estranged wife is not just looking for a little spousal support in the divorce with the Oscar winning actor, because we’ve learned there’s no prenuptial agreement between the two and she is seeking a sizable share of his fortune.
Keisha Nash filed her response to Whitaker’s divorce just before the end of the year, and made it clear she’s seeking spousal support. Her documents, filed by celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, also list the date of separation as “TBD.”
Sources close to the couple’s split tell The Blast there was never a prenup worked out before the marriage in 1996, and Whitaker has amassed a gigantic amount of wealth over the years as an actor.
However, we’re told the negotiations are expected to be peaceful, as the couple have a long history together, as well as two children.
The Blast broke the story, Whitaker filed for divorce two days after Christmas to end his marriage with Keisha after 22 years.
