Donald Glover Performs With Stevie Wonder at His Birthday Party

Happy birthday to ya, Stevie Wonder!

The singer celebrated his 67th birthday with a celebrity-studded concert party at The Peppermint Club in Los Angeles and performed his hit "Superstition" with the musician of the moment, Donald Glover.

Joel and Benji Madden, TI and Nick Cannon are just some of the famous faces who sang and danced last night to celebrate Stevie.

The "Isn't She Lovely" singer performed a few songs at his party but couldn't miss an opportunity to heap on the praise for Glover and his newest newsmaking music video for "This Is America."

"In a time where the world seems to asleep, it's great to know when people are woke," Stevie said from behind a piano.

Donald Glover released "This Is America" and the music video under his rap alter-ego Childish Gambino over the weekend and the performance served as a powerful social and critique of the US — touching on everything from gun violence and suicide, to the treatment of black culture by media, to police violence against black men.

In a video shot by rapper TI last night, Stevie Wonder says he "saw" the new Gambino video, eliciting laughs from the crowd. (It's ok because he is making a blind joke about himself, so calm down.) The Grammy winner told the crowd that he has songs for an upcoming project that he'd like to use to collaborate with Glover.

As he put it, "Your peoples are talking to my peoples."

And that will make all the peoples happy!
