A guy who claims he did work on a voice assistant app for's tech company claims the company never paid him for his work, so now he's suing.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Eyas Shanaah claims he did work for as a "linguistics consultant" to help "create a voice activated version of the application Omega in Arabic."

The company's website says that Omega is an "Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) platform built to be contextual and proactive, providing businesses the tools to develop human-like conversational experiences."

Shanaah claims he provided his services from January 30, 2019 through February 9, 2019. Just a week later, attended the World Government Summit 2019 where it was announced that would bring its voice-controlled A.I. to the Middle East for the first time.

An announcement at the time said the app would "interact both in English and Arabic."

Shanaah claims the company owes him $4,040.

A trial date has been set for next month.

The Blast reached out to for comment but they have yet to respond.


In September 2017, Retuers reported that raised $117 million in venture funding.
