Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute may be fired from "Vanderpump Rules" but that doesn't mean they don't have fans who will fiercely defend them. Their loyal followers have created a petition demanding that Bravo bring back to girls on the show they made a hit and has already collected more than 20k signatures. The fan petition, located on Change.org, is collecting more John Hancocks by the minute and has almost reached its goal of 25k signatures.
The petition is addressed to Bravo, NBCUniversal, "Vanderpump Rules," and Lisa Vanderpump. Getting political, it reads, "The United States is currently in a position it has not been in before. We, as a society, are finally coming to grips with the destruction we have caused to Black people in this country for hundreds of years."
Turning their focus to Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute's firing after an incident with Faith Stowers was brought to light, the petition fiercely defends them by stating "their actions were not racially motivated."
Continuing by saying the incident against Faith Stowers was "not okay," the petition reads, "Firing these cast members for something that happened years ago, is more harmful than helpful. We all have done and said things in our past that, under a microscope and in sound bites, do not show the best of who we are."
It added that the duo has "used their platforms to share resources regarding the Black Lives Matter movement" and "stood in solidarity and used their voices to help in whatever ways they could."
Ending the lengthy message, the petition states, "It is our hope that Bravo/NBCUniversal re-hire them to show what can be done when those in privileged situations, learn from their mistakes."
As The Blast reported, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from "Vanderpump Rules" after Faith Stowers recalled an incident where the girls racially profiled her. In 2018, they called the police to report her because she looked like a black woman who was wanted for robbery. While the girls issued apologies, fans demanded Bravo take action and the network did.
Stassi and Kristen were axed from the series after eight seasons but it wasn't just their jobs they lost. Schroeder was let go from her talent agency and PR team. Kristen's book agency cut ties with the star. Both girls have put on a brave face by stepping outside since being fired. Kristen Doute was spotted running errands and looked visibly upset while Stassi Schroeder seemed in good spirits and was glowing. Days later, fans found out that Stassi is pregnant with her first child.
