“Terminator” star Linda Hamilton revealed she’s been celibate for 15 years, following her divorce from director James Cameron.
The actress sat down with The New York Times from her home in New Orleans.
The actress details selling off her Malibu villa after a stint on the television show “Chuck” ended in 2012.
She said, “I woke up one day and I was like, ‘Well, here I am in my beautiful mansion and my kids aren’t here, my agents aren’t calling, and this is not real.”
The actress decided to leave Los Angeles behind and moved to Virginia. She stayed there for a couple years before ended up in New Orleans. She lives with her two dogs, Turk and Noodle.
Hamilton talks about life after becoming a household name. She describes liking her alone time and not needing anyone since her divorce.
She was married to “Terminator 2” director James Cameron from 1997 until 1999. They had been dating since 1991. Hamilton talks about how their relationship didn’t start until T2, when they moved in together and had a daughter.
Hamilton said, “I’ve been celibate for at least 15 years. One loses track, because it just doesn’t matter — or at least it doesn’t matter to me. I have a very romantic relationship with my world every day and the people who are in it.”
Hamilton is returning as Sarah Connor in “Terminator: Dark Fate”. She will be joined by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong and Mackenzie Davis. The film is set to be released on November 1.
