Tamar Braxton's Boyfriend Breaks His Silence -- She Is Receiving The 'Best Available' Mental Health Treatment

Tamar Braxton's boyfriend, David Adefesco, is breaking his silence after finding the reality star 'unresponsive' after a possible suicide attempt, saying she is now in recovery and receiving the 'best available' mental health treatment possible.
The 'Braxton Family Values' star's boyfriend has been by her side since being hospitalized last week and is supporting her in recovery and doctor's decisions about her ongoing treatment.
“On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers. Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people," David began.
He continued, "This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression."

As we reported, Tamar was transferred to an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles to receive highly specialized treatment for mental health including depression, anxiety, and sexual assault trauma.
"Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment," David said.
Sources close to the situation tell us, David is Tamar's "rock" and has been by her side every step of the way for the past two years, even when "she felt alone."
The reality star's boyfriend pointed out that mental health issues are very common, and hopes that Tamar's fans, and the public, will continue to support her through her ongoing recovery.
"Mental health is a common issue, affecting 1 in 5 Americans," he tells The Blast.
Adding, "Please continue to send prayers and hope as Tamar continues the path to recovery and ultimate happiness. We ask to please respect Tamar’s privacy, and her family’s privacy, during this important time of healing."
We broke the story, David is the one who found Tamar unresponsive in the couple's downtown Los Angeles apartment, and frantically called 911 for help.
On the call, David relayed that Tamar had been drinking and taking an unknown amount of prescription medications for depression and anxiety. As we reported, he attempted to shake the reality star and checked her pulse and breathing constantly until paramedics arrived.

Also, David mentioned to 911 dispatchers that Tamar had sent a note to family members -- earlier in the day -- which appeared to be a suicide threat.
"I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs. I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it," the message begins. The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to love (sic) like this. Please help me (praying hands emoji)," Tamar wrote in a draft tweet she sent to her family.
We're told Tamar is still currently hospitalized in the Los Angeles area and is deciding what the next best step is for her ongoing treatment.
