Suge Knight has a strategic plan to carry out business while serving time in prison, and even though he has tapped specific people to handle different facets of his empire, he wants to make it clear the main power resides with his fiancée.

The Blast obtained a recorded statement made by Knight on Monday while he remains behind bars.
The former CEO of Death Row Records wanted to clear up an erroneous report that he had signed over his life rights to singer Ray J, effectively putting him in charge of all aspects of Knight's right to publicity and future business ventures.
"Ray J is the little brother and family," Knight said, following up that he respects the "One Wish" singer immensely, which is why he definitely wanted to get him involved with the business.
However, Knight explained that he chose Ray J to only handle everything concerning Death Row Records and future music coming out of Death Row.
Knight has chosen his fiancée, Toi-Lin Kelly as the power of attorney to handle deals for movies, TV or documentaries.
Toi-Lin is also in charge of Knight's medical decisions.

During his call, which was briefly interrupted by the automated announcement that the line was being recorded, Knight revealed that Nick Cannon has been tapped to handle a book on the mogul's life.
He described the "Masked Singer" host as "the most realest guy in the business today," and had complete faith that Cannon would do him justice as a writer on his book.
Knight also took issue with critics describing his 28-year sentence as a "life sentence," and says "I'll be home before you know it," with big plans to take care of his family.
The 54-year-old mogul also doubled down that he was not trying to discredit Ray J, but wanted to clear the air on who was handling each aspect of his business.
"Everybody enjoy their day ... every day is a blessing," Knight said as he ended his call.

Suge's fiancee said in a statement to The Blast, "As Suge’s power of attorney, I am currently and actively engaged in negotiations in regards to Suge’s Movie projects, Documentary, and television series projects, and working with Nick Cannon in regards to Suge’s book. Those involved know who they are and are directly in communication with me daily. We’d respectfully ask those creating confusion and recklessly stating otherwise to please refrain from doing so moving forward."
